Actually, enlarged prostate among men is more common than you think. There is a possibility that it is genetics. I am 49, and last year when I did medical and prostate ultrasound, doc shared that mine is slightly enlarged. My dad also has.

Do regular checks just to make sure it is not cancerous. As for medication, I would rather take supplements. Been taking one type regularly for about 2 months now. Going to arrange another medical before year end to see if there is improvement. My dad has also been taking the same, and his need to wake up to pee at night greatly reduced. So he is also waiting for this next checkup to test

My dad had done a prostate removal by a private doc from Novena Mt E, f up doc didnt even ask my dad try take any medicine for treatment, he was quite pushy to get the operation done asap, must be after the money desperately

End up the surgery wasnt successful and my dad suffered a cut to his urethra as the doc is young and inexperience

Although the prostate is removed but still cant pee properly as the scarring of the urethra block the flow of the pee, LPPL as my dad first intention is to correct the slow peeing issue

Due to that complication,my dad has to wear a diaper daily as he cant control his bladder well

Went to see a few specialists but got the same advice that the scarring is permanent and cant reverse the condition
